our strategy

Predicting crude oil prices in the short term has been a very difficult task since we moved away from the vertical integration mechanism set up by the seven sisters to a world where politics play a major role in prices. This has made long term forecasting extremely difficult regardless of the methods used by energy forecasters.

At Petroleum-Insight, our team believes that strategic planning based on future prices to be a thing of the past. Rather, we choose to emphasize on scenario building so that all elements whether they be political, economic or technical can be taken in consideration when serving our clients. Furthermore, our management believes that no assignment should be undertaken by one analyst alone-no matter his or her level of expertise and insight. All projects are treated collectively by the entire team hence allowing great diversity in vision and innovative solutions.

The uniqueness of our solutions gives us the confidence that our innovative ideas will in the long run influence the way oil, especially “new” oil, will be priced. Also, the way oil and gas contracts will be negotiated and last but not least the way risks in transactions and development of those resources will be addressed and mitigated.
